Other News:
Sharon Coles, one of the first group of "Making Choices" students has just written us a lovely letter. She thanks Franc Johnson, her WEA tutor, for showing her that "I am not stupid and I can do it" Sharon has recently enrolled on an "Access to the Future" course with Harlow College and intends to progress to an Access course and then on to do a degree. Sharon says she is enjoying her sessions at Harlow College and would like to recommend the "Access to the Future" course to fellow WEA students. Sharon's ultimate goal is to become a teacher. We wish her well!
Dawn Monk, a student at the Farthing Centre, has just got a job as a legal secretary. We're all really proud of Dawn as she's had all sorts of unexpected problems to overcome. We're also very grateful to her for giving up her time to meet a group of new students in the Farthing Centre and talk about possibilities there. Thanks Dawn!
Two other Farthing Centre students have done well. We'd like to congratulate Caroline Peek on her job in the Educational Administration Department at Anglia Polytechnic University and Diane Everitt on her new job as a legal secretary.
Jane Babbage, who is still studying at the Farthing
Centre, is also helping part-time to sort out Julia's paper work.
